Dwight C. Baum - A Memoir ($35.00)
Dwight "Bill" Baum is the story of a life fully lived. This book takes the reader from Baum's birth in Syracuse, NY in 1912 throughout the entire 20th century. The reader will enjoy his ability of recall, even going back to 1915 and his delightful discovery of brandied peaches as a toddler. We share his sense of nostalgia as he tells about visiting his grandfather's farm and growing up in a loving family with a famous father. Bill Baum had an insatiable appetite for learning. After earning degrees from Cornell and Harvard, he worked for the British Air Commission during WWII. For the next fifty years, he worked in investment banking and was part of some of the most intriguing acquisitions in the history of finance. Four months into this project, we lost this incredibly gifted and exceptional man and this book honors his life.
